Overview
The PGHL-400-80 is DH Robotics' heavy-load, long-stroke electric parallel gripper — the highest-force model in their flat parallel line. It delivers 140–400 N of continuously adjustable gripping force per jaw across an 80 mm stroke with ±0.02 mm position repeatability, handling a recommended workpiece weight of 8 kg. Drive is a precise planetary gear set combined with a T-shaped lead screw and rack and pinion, which is what enables the high force and self-holding at 2.2 kg and 194 × 73 × 70 mm. Open/close time is 1.0 s / 1.1 s, protection is IP40 and supply is 24 V DC (1.0 A rated, 3.0 A peak). Control is Modbus RTU over RS-485 plus digital I/O, with optional TCP/IP, USB 2.0, CAN 2.0A, PROFINET and EtherCAT, exposing configurable position, force and speed. It suits heavy machine tending, large-part handling and applications that would otherwise need a pneumatic gripper.
