Overview

The Galaxea R1 Pro is a wheeled dual-arm mobile manipulation platform positioned as the high-end member of Galaxea Dynamics' R1 series. Unlike the base R1 (6-DoF arms), the Pro carries two 7-DoF arms on a 4-DoF torso mounted to a 6-DoF omnidirectional wheeled base, for 26 total degrees of freedom and a vertical operating range from the floor to ~2 m. Each arm terminates in a force-controlled parallel gripper. Perception combines a binocular RGB head camera, five chassis monocular cameras, optional wrist depth cameras, and a 360-degree LiDAR, all processed on an onboard NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin 32GB (200 TOPS). The platform targets embodied-AI research and imitation-learning data collection, supporting VR and isomorphic teleoperation and Galaxea's G0 VLA foundation model.

Highlights

  • Two 7-DoF force-controlled arms (26-DoF whole body: 2x7 arms + 4 torso + 6 chassis) on an omnidirectional wheeled base
  • Onboard NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin 32GB (200 TOPS) for embodied-AI inference
  • VR + isomorphic teleoperation with reported millimeter precision for imitation-learning data collection
  • Sensor suite: binocular RGB head camera, 5 chassis cameras, optional wrist depth cameras, 360-degree LiDAR
  • Ships in Galaxea's G0 VLA ecosystem (also runs pi-0.5); ~1000 hr VR-teleop dataset reported
  • Reseller price ~$69,999 USD (quote-based); high-end sibling of the 6-DoF base R1
