Overview
The Kenos KCS (Kenos Collaborative Small) is Piab's all-in-one vacuum gripping unit for collaborative robots. It integrates pump, vacuum generation and gripping interface in a 110 × 110 × 105 mm, 1 kg unit handling up to 8 kg. Piab's COAX SX multi-stage venturi cartridges (1 or 2) maintain high performance even at low or fluctuating feed pressures, while a flow restrictor lets the technical-foam face grip sealed or leaking objects of different sizes without full coverage — an FDA-compliant silicone foam serves food handling. A quick-change system moves the gripper between applications, and it mounts to ISO 9409-1 flanges with 24 V DC control at ~0.17 A.
