Overview
TRLC-DK1-X is the bimanual configuration of The Robot Learning Company's DK1 developer kit, built for robot-learning and imitation-learning research and education. It is a fixed/benchtop system (no mobile base, no bundled compute) that connects to a host machine over USB-C and runs on Linux, macOS, or Windows. The kit includes two leader-follower pairs — four arms in total — enabling coordinated dual-arm manipulation and leader-follower teleoperation for demonstration data collection. Both hardware (STEP CAD, URDF with visual GLB and collision STL meshes) and software are open source under Apache-2.0, with native LeRobot plugin integration for teleoperation and policy training. The DK1 arm is TRLC's own design in the SO-100/GELLO/Koch open-hardware lineage (not a PiPER-based arm). There is no ROS/ROS2 integration.
