Overview
The UFACTORY xArm Dual is a composed dual-arm platform built from two UFACTORY xArm collaborative robot arms. Each arm delivers 700 mm reach and ±0.1 mm repeatability; the 5 kg per-arm payload configuration uses the 6-DoF xArm 6, while a 7-DoF variant can be built from two xArm 7 arms (3.5 kg payload each). The platform targets dual-arm packing, imitation learning, and UMI-based teleoperation workflows, controlled via UFACTORY's Python SDK and ROS/ROS 2 drivers. It is a stationary rig (no mobile base) with follower arms only (no dedicated leader arms shipped). This is a community/integrator composition rather than a single UFACTORY SKU.
Highlights
- Composed dual: 2x UFACTORY xArm on a shared stationary frame (not an official single-SKU product)
- Two build options: 2x xArm 6 (6-DoF, 5 kg/arm) or 2x xArm 7 (7-DoF, 3.5 kg/arm)
- Each arm: 700 mm reach, ±0.1 mm repeatability
- Affordable relative to research bimanual rigs; leverages the widely-available xArm series
- Python SDK + ROS/ROS 2 control; FastUMI / UMI-style teleoperation for demo collection
- Use cases: dual-arm packing, imitation learning, UMI teleoperation
