Overview
The Weiss Robotics WSG 50-110 is a servo-electric two-finger parallel gripper whose integrated controller, part detection and open Ethernet control protocol (GCL) made it a de-facto standard on research manipulators (PR2-era labs, KUKA iiwa setups) as well as industrial cells. It offers a 110 mm total stroke, continuously adjustable 5–80 N gripping force with continuous-duty force retention, up to 420 mm/s finger speed, ±0.03 mm repeatability and 1.2 kg mass. Fingers are pre-positionable, an integrated sensor port supports active force-measuring fingers, and a built-in web interface handles configuration, diagnostics and Lua scripting. Also marketed by SCHUNK as the WSG 050-110.
